Privacy Policy
This policy explains how we handle the personal information you give us through this website, whether you are asking a question, requesting a written quote or placing an order. It is written to meet the requirements of UK data protection law, including UK GDPR.
Who We Are
Garage Doors Direct 24/7 is a trading name of TWF Roller Garage Doors Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 11685196. Our registered office is Unit 1, Tradebase The Street, Catfield, Great Yarmouth, NR29 5AA. TWF Roller Garage Doors Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
What Information We Collect
When you submit a quote request, order request or contact form on this site, we collect the details you type in: your name, email address, phone number, postcode and message, together with the door configuration you have built (such as the door type, size and options), so that we can prepare an accurate written quote.
Your basket contents are stored in your own browser using localStorage. They stay on your device and are not sent to us until you choose to check out or send your configuration as a quote or order request.
If you telephone us, please note that calls may be recorded for training and quality purposes.
Why We Use It
We use the information you send us to:
- respond to your enquiry or question;
- prepare and send your written quote, including the exact price, VAT breakdown, delivery cost and lead time;
- process and fulfil your order, including arranging delivery.
Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are legitimate interest (responding to an enquiry you have chosen to send us) and contract (taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performing that contract once an order is placed).
Who We Share It With
We use an email delivery provider to carry your enquiry from the website to our sales team. That provider processes your details only for the purpose of delivering the message. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing.
How Long We Keep It
We keep your information for as long as it is needed to deal with your enquiry or order, and after that for as long as we are required to keep records for legal, tax and accounting purposes.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you (access);
- ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate (rectification);
- ask us to delete your data where there is no good reason for us to keep it (erasure).
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and Local Storage
This site uses your browser's localStorage to remember your basket between visits. For details of cookies and similar technologies used on the site, please see our cookie policy. Our terms of sale are set out separately in our terms.
